Women’s cardigan with lace-free knitting pattern
free knitting patterns

THIS LACY top in a delicate yarn makes a pretty cover-up over summery dresses or strappy evening tops. The slightly fluted edge is held in place with the beads tracing a waterlily design between the ‘Peri’s Parasol’ pattern.
It looks like a vast number of beads to thread, but this yarn is strong enough to take it, and the design has the advantage that all the beads are incorporated quickly into the first few rows.
To get the best effect, slide the beads to the outward edge of the motif by slipping the bead held on the yarn over first before purling on the next row, for those on the left-hand side of the motif and purling before slipping those on the right-hand side of the motif.
