N ext row (RS): K l, K2tog, (K2, K2tog) 3 tim es,K l. 12 sts.Cont in garter st until border, when slighdy stretched fits up right front opening edge, all around edge o f hood and down left front opening edge, sewing in place as you go, ending with RS facing for next row. With RS facing using 4/4mm (US 7) needles pick up and knit 30 sts along pocket edge.Work 8 rows in garter st.
Cast off knitwise on W S.Ties (m ake 2)Using 4M»mm (US 7) double-pointed needles cast on 3 sts.
R ow 1 (RS): K3, * w ithout turning slip these 3 sts to opposite end of needle and bring yarn to opposite end o f work pulling it quite tightly across WS of work, K these 3 sts again, rep from * until strip measures 35 cm.
N ext row: K3tog. Fasten off.Sew cast-off edge o f tie to centre o f hood border placing level with beg o f neck shaping.
