The subtle texture is highlighted by sparkl ing beads, which are sewn onto the finished garment. Debbie Bliss has used her Eco Baby yarn, a Fair Trade organic cotton, which is soft and comfortable to wear.

Approx 25 (30:35) g of small silver-lined clear glass beads. Debbie used size SB07 colour 1 from Creative Beadcraft.

yon: yarn over needle. This is an increase worked between purl stitches. Take yarn from front to back of work over the top of right hand needle, and back between your needles to the front again. This will form a loop.

NECKBAND
JOIN SHOULDER SEAMS.
With RS facing and 3mm needles, slip
7 (8:9) sts from right front neck holder onto a needle, pick up and K21 sts up right front neck, K29 (31:33) sts from back neck holder, pick up and K21 sts down left front neck, patt across 7 (8:9) sts from left front neck holder. 85 (89:93) sts.
Work in moss st as set by front band sts. Work 1 row.
Next (buttonhole) row: Kl, PI, yon, P2tog, mossst to end.
Work 3 rows in moss st.
Cast off in moss st.
TO MAKE UP
Sew sleeves into armholes, with row- ends above markers sewn to sts cast off at underarm. Stitch one bead to the centre of each purl st diamond. Join side and sleeve seams. Sew on buttons.
