Knitted cardigan “Swinford” with Knot Stitch technique
“THIS LOVELY yarn from New Lanark M ills inspired the tweedy look of my fitted jacket with a lace edge detail,”
says Judy Furlong. “ The Knot Stitch is very simple to do, the most tricky part being counting the rows, which is most easily done on the wrong side. The lace for the edges on collar and cuffs is also fairly straightforward, hut the jacket will work perfectly w ell without it.”The instruction for the lace edge of the cuff is to cast on and off w it h waste yarn then graft the edges together, but if you prefer, sim ply cast on and off in Yarn A and sew the edges together.
