PATTERN EXPLANATION:
Pattern no. 1: Row 1: *knit 2, purl 1, knit 2, brioche stitch 10, and repeat after the mark * to complete the row. Row 2: Work the stitches on the reverse side as they are. Row 3: Work 5 cm by repeating after the row 1.
Pattern no. 2: Row 1: Work all the stitches as knit. Row 2: Work all the stitches as purl. Row 3: Knit 2, purl 14, knit 2, and so on to complete row. Row 4: Work the stitches on the reverse side as they are. Rows 4 and 5: Repeat the rows 1 and 2. Row 6: Set
stitches as; purl 14, knit 2, purl 14, and so on. Row 7: Work the stitches on the reverse side as they are. Rows 8 and 9: Repeat the rows 1 and 2.
BACK PIECE:
1- Cast on 96 stitches; after knitting 6 cm of 2+2 rib, switch to patterns. 2- Continue working along knit as 5 cm of pattern no 1, 9 rows of pattern no 2, 5 cm of pattern no 1, and so on. 3- When body length is 46 cm, decrease 3+2+1 stitches at both ends for arm-
holes. 4- After knitting body length for 70 cm, center the stitches and finish by casting off 30 stitches in the middle at once, and on the next row, remaining 27 stitches on shoulders in three steps.
LEFT FRONT:
1- Cast on 52 stitches and knit 6 cm of 2+2 rib. 2- Apply those patterns applied on the back in the same way. 3- When body length is 25 cm, decrease 8 x 1 stitch at every 6 stitches at the center front. 4- After knitting 46 cm for body length, decrease 3+2+2+1
stitches at one end for armhole. 5- When body length is 51 cm, knit 12 cm with 39 stitches while keeping 13 stitches on needle. 6- Decrease 39 stitches knitted by 12 x 1 stitch on every row starting from neck side. 7- When body length is 70 cm, cast off 27 stitches
remained on shoulder in three steps. 8- Decrease 13 stitches kept by 5+2+2+4 x 1 stitch on every row
starting from center front.
RIGHT FRONT:
1- Cast on 52 stitches. Knit 6 cm of 2+2 rib. 2- Apply those patterns on the back in the same way. 3- When body length is 25 cm, decrease 13 x 1 stitch at every 6 stitches at the center front to drop to 39 stitches. 4- After knitting 46 cm for body length, decrease
3+2+2+1 stitches at one end for armhole. 5- When body length is 58 cm, decrease 4 x 1 stitch at the center front on each row for neck opening. When the body length is 70 cm, cast off 27 stitches remained on the shoulder in three steps.
SLEEVES:
1- Cast on 60 stitches. Knit 6 cm of 2+2 rib and apply the pattern. 2- Increase 6 x 1 stitch at both ends at every 10 rows to obtain 72 stitches. 3- When sleeve length is 46 cm, decrease 3+2+1 stitch each at both ends on every row for armholes. 4- Starting from the
next row, decrease 17 x 1 stitch at both ends at every 2 rows. 5- When sleeve length is 70 cm, cast off the remaining 26 stitches at once to finish. Work the other sleeve in the same way.
COLLAR:
Make it in two stages. 1- Pick up 32 stitches from the part worked 13 stitches; knit 4 cm of 2+2 rib, and cast off the stitches to finish. 2- Pick up 90 stitches from right front and back; knit 4 cm of 2+2 rib, and cast off the stitches to finish.
FRONT BORDERS:
1- Pick up 110 stitches onto needle from the center front. Finish by casting off the stitches after working 3 cm of knit stitch, 1 row of purl, and 3 cm of knit.
