4[4:5:5:5:6] x 100g balls in 23 Patina
4mm and 5mm needles

TENSION
18 sts and 24 rows to 10cm over st st using 5mm needles.
20 sts and 26 rows to 10cm over main patt using 5mm needles.
Use larger or smaller needles if necessary to obtain correct tension.

ABBREVIATIONS
mp = pick up and p into back of horizontal
strand lying before next st

Cont on last group of sts for left half of neck.
Next row (dec): Patt to last 11 sts, p2tog, work to end.
Note: Work the single st at neck edge firmly on RS and WS rows to keep edge neat.
Always work 3 sts at inner edge of neck cable in rev st st.
Keeping patt correct, rep dec row on every foll 4th row until 52[55:60:64:68:69] sts rem, then on every foll 6th row until 47[50:55:59:64:67] sts rem.
Work straight until Front meas 65[66:67:68:69:70]cm from beg, ending at side edge.

Shape shoulders
Cast off 10[10:12:13:14:14] sts at beg of next row and 2 foll alt rows. 17[20:19:20:22:25] rows.
Work 1 row straight.
Cast off 9[12:11:12:14:17] sts at beg of next row.
Work straight on rem 8 sts until border ŀts halfway across cast-off sts of back neck.

With RS facing, neatly rejoin yarn to neck edge,

Work as Front to ***.

Shape shoulders
Cast off 10[10:12:13:14:14] sts at beg of next 6 rows. 50[58:58:60:66:74] sts.
Cast off 9[12:11:12:14:17] sts at beg of next 2 rows.
Cast off rem 32[34:36:36:38:40] sts AT THE SAME TIME working (k2tog) twice across each of the 2 cable sections.

SLEEVES (MAKE 2)
With 4mm needles, cast on 32[32:36:36:40:40] sts.
Work as for Front to **.

Set centre cable patt
Change to 5mm needles.

Rows 3-6: Rep rows 1-2 twice more.

Row 8: As row 2.
These 2 rows set centre cable patt. Cont in patt, shaping Sleeve by inc 1 st at each end of next row, then on every foll 4th[4th:4th:4th:alt:alt] row until there are 60[68:74:64:56:62] sts, then on every foll
6th[6th:6th:4th:4th:4th] row until there are 74[78:82:88:92:96] sts.
Work straight until Sleeve meas 48cm (19in), ending after a WS row.
Cast off loosely.

TO FINISH
Join shoulders. Stitch back neckband sections to cast-off sts at back of neck, joining cast-off edges of border at centre back. Stitch cast-off edges of Sleeves to upper side sections of Back and Front. Join side and Sleeve seams.
