YOU WILL NEED
1. West Yorkshire Spinners,
ColourLab DK (100% wool, 100g/225m)
1 ball of each:
Yarn A Aqua Green (705)
Yarn B Zesty Orange (476)
Yarn C Cerise Pink (539)
Yarn D Thistle Purple (717)
Yarn E Very Berry (647)
Yarn F Natural Cream (010)
2. A 4mm circular needle, 80cm long
3. Stitch marker
4. Cushion pad, 40cm
5. 6 buttons, 2cm diameter
TENSION
24 sts and 30 rounds to measure
10x10cm (4x4in) over st st using
4mm needles
MEASUREMENTS
35x35cm (13¾x13¾in)
HOW TO USE
OUR CHARTS
Start at the bottom right-hand
corner. Read all rounds from right to
left. A row of squares represents a
row of knitting.
GEOMETRIC CUSHION
Note Use the long-tail cast-on method, you can find a tutorial here:

Cast on 168 sts using 4mm circular needle, 80cm long and Yarn A.
Join to work in the round, taking care not to twist stitches. PM to mark beg of round.
Knit 18 rounds.
Join in yarns as required, work Chart A once in full.
Change to Yarn F and knit 1 round.
Change to Yarn D and knit 1 round.
Change to Yarn E and knit 1 round.
Change to Yarn A and knit 1 round.
Change to Yarn C and knit 1 round.
Change to Yarn F and knit 1 round.
Change to Yarn B and knit 16 rounds.
Join in yarns as required, work Chart B once in full.
Change to Yarn C and knit 16 rounds.
Next round (partial) Cast off 84 sts, K to end. [84 sts]
Change to working back and forth in rows.
Starting on a WS purl row, work 9 rows in st st.
Next row (RS, buttonhole) K11, *yo, k2tog, K10; rep from * to last
13 sts, yo, k2tog, K11.
Starting on a WS purl row, work 10 rows in st st.
Cast off.
FINISHING
Block to measurements and join seam at lower edge. Attach buttons to correspond with buttonholes and weave in all ends. Insert cushion pad.
