YOU WILL NEED
1.Rowan Creative Linen
(50% cotton, 50% linen,
100g/200m)
3 balls of:
Yarn A Silver (650)
Yarn B Straw (622)
4 balls of:
Yarn C Stormy (635)
2.A pair of 4.5mm needles

MEASUREMENTS
Width 117cm (46in)
Length 128cm (50½ in)

TENSION
21 sts and 28 rows to measure 10x10cm (4x4in) over st st using 4.5mm needles

REVERSE BLANKET
Note Use cable cast-on throughout. When two colours are used in the same panel, link one colour to the next by twisting them around each other where they meet on the wrong side to avoid gaps.
PANEL A
Cast on 24 sts using 4.5mm needles and Yarn B, then cast on 62 sts using Yarn C. [86 sts] Row 1 (RS) Using Yarn C, P62, using Yarn B, P18, (K1, P1) twice, K2.
Row 2 Using Yarn B, (K1, P1), 3 times, K18, using Yarn C, K62.
Rep last 2 rows a further 79 times, ending with RS facing for next row. (Note Panel should meas approx 57cm.)
Cast off in patt.
PANEL B
Note To avoid breaking and re-joining yarns whilst working the stripes, join in a second ball of Yarn A the first time Row 4 is worked and carry yarns not in use up each edge.

Cast on 161 sts using 4.5mm needles and Yarn A.
Row 1 (RS) Using Yarn A, K2, P1, (K1, P1) twice, K to end.
Row 2 Using Yarn A, P to last 7 sts, K1, (P1, K1) 3 times.
Row 3 Using Yarn C, K2, P1, (K1, P1) twice, K to end.
Row 4 Using Yarn A, P to last 7 sts, K1, (P1, K1) 3 times.
Row 5 Using Yarn A, K2, P1, (K1, P1) twice, K to end.
Row 6 Using Yarn C, P to last 7 sts, K1, (P1, K1) 3 times.
Rep last 6 rows a further 21 times, then Rows 1 and 2 once more,
ending with RS facing for next row.
[Panel should meas approx 48 cm.] Using Yarn A, cast off in patt.
PANEL C
Cast on 86 sts using 4.5mm needles and Yarn A.
Row 1 (RS) K to last 7 sts, (P1, K1) twice, P1, K2.
Row 2 K1, (P1, K1) 3 times, P to end.
These 2 rows form patt.
Working in patt throughout, cont as folls:
Work a further 64 rows, ending with RS facing for next row.
Break off Yarn A and join in yarn C.
Work 66 rows, ending with RS facing for next row. Break off Yarn C and join in Yarn A.
Work 66 rows, ending with RS facing for next row. (Panel should meas approx 71cm.)
Cast off in patt.
PANEL D
Cast on using 4.5mm needles as folls:
(Using a separate ball of Yarn B cast on 32 sts, using a separate ball of Yarn C cast on 32 sts) twice, using a separate ball of Yarn B cast on 33 sts.
There are now 5 sets of sts, alternating in colour and with a separate ball of yarn attached to each set.
Row 1 (RS) Using Yarn B, K2, (P1, K1) twice, P27, (using Yarn C, P32, using Yarn B, P32) twice.
Row 2 (Using Yarn B, K32, using Yarn C, K32) twice, using Yarn B, K27, (P1, K1) 3 times.
Rep last 2 rows a further 111 times, ending with RS facing for next row. (Panel should meas approx 80 cm.) Keeping colours correct,
Cast off in patt.
MAKING UP
Weave in all ends, block and press. Join the 4 panels according to assembly diagram to form a blanket.
