Next Row: RS – P all sts and inc 1 st at centre of row to 71 (75, 83, 87) sts.

Shape Neck and Shoulder
Next Row: RS – P26 (27, 31, 32) sts,
turn, on these sts only.
Next Row: WS – Cast off 3 sts, k to end.

SLEEVES
With 4.00mm needles, cast on 42 (42, 46, 46) sts.

Rep last 2 rows 3 (3, 4, 4) times more. Change to 4.50mm needles.
Cont in Rev Stst and inc 1 st each end every 7th (5th, 5th, 5th) row to 58 (66, 74, 80) sts.
Cont straight until sleeve measures 27 (30, 34, 39)cm from beg, end with a WS row.
Cast off loosely.
MAKING UP
Use mattress st to sew all seams.
Join left shoulder seam.
NECKBAND
With RS facing, 4.50mm needles, pick up and k9 sts down back neck, k the back neck holder 19 (21, 21, 23) sts, pick up and k9 sts up back neck, 17 (18, 19, 20) sts down front neck, k the front neck holder 17 (17, 19, 19) sts, pick up and k17 (18, 19, 20) sts up front neck. 88 (92, 96, 100) sts. Next Row: WS – *P2, k2; rep from
⦁ to end.
Next Row: RS – *P2, k2; rep from
⦁ to end.
Rib further 5 (5, 7, 7) rows.
Cast off loosely in rib.
Join right shoulder and neckband seam. Place markers 15 (17, 19, 21)cm down from shoulder seam on back and front. With centre of sleeve top at shoulder seam, join sleeve to body Join side and sleeve seams.
Sew buttons in place for owl eyes (using photo as placement guide).
