Although it looks bulky, this cosy yarn is actually lightweight and comfortable, and is spun from three strands with an extra twist to provide a durable surface – ideal for little crawlers.

✿ Alpaca, 50g in Light Beige :
3 (3: 3: 3: 3) x balls (jacket)
1 (1: 1: 1:1 ) x ball (hat)
✿ 2.5mm double-pointed needles and 2.5mm circular needle (60cm)
✿ Cable needle
✿ 5 (5: 6: 6: 6) x wooden button

MEASUREMENTS
✿ To fit 1-3 months (6-9 months: 12-18 months:
2 years: 3-4 years)
✿ Jacket: 50-56 (62-68: 74-80: 86-92: 98-104)cm
or 20-22 (24-27: 29-32: 34-36: 38-41)in
✿ Hat: head circumference approx
14 (15: 16: 17: 18)cm or 5½ (6: 6¼: 6½: 7)in

TENSION
✿ 26 sts and 34 rows to 10cm (4 in) over st-st, using 2.5mm needles

IT’S IN THE DETAIL
This pattern is for the more experienced knitter as it entails reading from charts and knitting on a circular needle. If you’ve knitted cables before you should be able to master it without too many problems and if you’re unsure, why not practise the charts with scrap  yarn before starting  the jacket using the alpaca yarn.
